The first time I heard of Pastor Troy was when you did that song about Master P. What was that about?
We ain't playin down here. He was on something different than what we represent down here in Atlanta. All that material sturff ain't what we about down here.
I don't get it...
You know, P, he rich, man. He does a lotta talkin about that street stuff, when we're the ones down here in the streets.
But you know Master P comes from the streets. I knew Master P a long time ago when he was just like you at one time, but he just became very successful. That doesn' make him any less real. What well happen if you make a lot of as Pastor Troy?
That's what this whole thing is about sellin records. If you wanna be on top. go at the dog. So that's what I did.
What made you want to make you name off of dissing Master P?
That was a strong business move. Look how everybody talkin, Who's this dude that dissed Master P? They's callin my name in the same breath as this million dollar man.
Master P's a Black Man who came up against all odds in this White dominated society. Why do you want to come up dissing another Black man?
I'm tryin to catch up with P so we can do this together and squash all this.
I don't think Master P had any problem with you. P was all about doing his label. Master didn't ever know you.
He didn't. I came up out the blue.
You're from the south. You know that 40 years ago in Mississippi a Black kid couldn't ever go to school. A Black man coulkdn't walk int a restaurant where White people were eating. You know that. And here you have Master P who millions of Black kids look up to as a role model. I don't know why another Black man would want to destroy him.
It's like this my man, this thing's way deeper than that. I got a family that I have to feed. It ain't nothing to do whith Black. It ain't nothing to do with White. It's about my situation. I have to get to another point in my life. I'm not concerned with Master P. That's over with. That was the media puttin all that attention on that stuff. I just made a song.
Master P is one of the most respected Black men of this time. He's like a god.
But he's not god.
All humans are gods if they do godly things. Malcolm X is a god because he did a godly thing. Huey P. Newton is god, because he did a godly thing.
Yeah well I did something godly, cause I put P outta the game.
Millions of kids look up to Master P. He's a hero to all of us. He is a hero to me. I look up to him.
Millions of kids looked up to Master P until I came and dissed him. Now they look up to me. I'm the new hero. This is war man, ain't nothing sacred in war. Ain't no rules.
You think what you did was the right thing? You basically destroyed Master P.
What I did was the wise thing. Master P ain't nothing to me. This is Rap. Rap music. It's about who can rap the best. I feel that I have more abilities than Mater P. I rapped against P and I won. My Rap sounds better. I won. I ain't got nothing but love for P. It's all a big game to sell records. Burger King an McDonald's got at it every day. He's got a record label, I got a record label. We're in competion.
